okay so yesterday i was able to play my videos and drama on my comp, but today when i woke up to watch some more it only played the audio but you could not see the video can someone help me?
is it all types of video that cannot be shown or just rmvb? also what codecs you using and what media player
^ to add did you try replaying the ones you played yesterday (the ones that work) and also other clips and/or trying them with a different player ?? or are they the ones you haven't seen (new) as it can be possible that there is something wrong with the clips themselves if the problem continues i would try reinstalling all players and codecs
i had this problem couple of days ago... uninstalled codecs and installed the klite codec pack... has everything
lol i had to reformat my comp but its all good now, tks for some tips if i ever run into something like this again
lol should've took dragonloaded's advice to reinstall the player and the codec, reformatting takes too much freaking time...
i reformatted my PC which took a day to re-setup only to find out that i only needed to disable my one of my firewalls as i had two running at the same time :( get K-lite mega pack and use media player classic
I would've searched the WHOLE internet for an answer before I resorted to reformatting. Not good for your computer my friend is proof he reformatted about 4-5 times.
You should only reformat when: - Windows is corrupted beyond repair. - You've become infected with a backdoor trojan. - You've tried every possible remedy and none have worked.
personally theres nothing wrong at all if you want to reformat your pc for whatever reason, no matter how small if the person has the time and effort to sit through the long ass process, then i say do it
