I know this guy for 2 years since I transfered to a new university. He's really a nice guy and we're like best friends. One day, he told me that he has had a strange condition that he had has every month: "It starts with at my left shoulder. When I breath in, I will get a feeling like oxygen cant pass through with ease. This usually lasts about 6 hours. After that, I no longer feel anything in my shoulder, but I feel a pain on my left side. When I breath in, it feels like there is not enough room for my lungs to expand. My heart, and my lungs feel like they are being pressed against my rib cage. Its very frightening. The pain is an unimaginable one. It keeps me up for 2 days, because it is so hard to breath. My breaths are VERY short, and fast paced. I am also very sensitive to cold during these 2 days where the pain is unbearable. I shiver uncontrollably sometimes, and this only makes the pain WORSE!" Listen to his words, I can feel that pain that he has. I mean I have heart burn sometimes but it's nothing compared to his. He already went to 2 doctors and they have no idea what it is. He planned to see another doctor soon but in the mean time, please digg this story so that someone out there in the world might able know and help him. The more duggs it has, the more likely the story will appear in the front page. Here is the link: http://digg.com/health/Please_help_my_friend_to_diagnose_his_symptoms_I_can_really_feel_his_pain I really really appreciate your contribution. It might be only 4, 5 mins of your time but it really means a lot to me.

Digg: Digg is a community-based popularity website with an emphasis on technology and science articles, recently expanding to a broader range of categories such as politics and entertainment. It combines social bookmarking, blogging, and syndication with a form of non-hierarchical, democratic editorial control. News stories and websites are submitted by users, and then promoted to the front page through a user-based ranking system. This differs from the hierarchical editorial system that many other news sites employ.
I'm no expert but let me try... Cause: 1. A section of his left lung is collapsed. Probably being crushed by some odd muscle tissue. Another way is that the sac surrounding his lung has ripped and the sac no longer pulls the lung open. 2. One of the tubes to his left lung is blocked or severely constricted. Perhaps he breathes in something he is allergic to every month. That one left tube is probably smaller than the others so it is a lot more noticeable. Symptoms: A section of his lung is not functioning, so he won't be able to breath in deeply. He can only do short breaths..which he has to do at a quicker pace to get enough oxygen. The other sections of the left lung would have to expand more causing his heart to be pressed against his ribcage. A weak lung can feel the burn of air being breathed in, and is very sensitive to cold (he shouldn't be eating or drinking anything that is colder than room temp and warmer than body temp) I think he should get some xrays done. Check out his upper left lung area. A sharp pain (as if a bone/rib was fractured) followed by a more numb pain a few hours later is what happens when the pleura rips. Hope that helps.
