    HI,
I have a question about 1394 wire from the case.
Is the 1394 wire aka FireWire important?
I have the ASROCK Z68 EXTREME3 GEN3 MotherBoard which I know it doesnt have a 1394 socket built in. I was wondering if I can just leave the wire alone.

    Thank You!!

@ OP. FireWire is a serial bus interface that was designed by Apple. It allows you to connect to devices that require FireWire connection. Your case probably has the FireWire port so you can connect FireWire types of devices to the case (like USBs), but if you don't have a FireWire connection in your motherboard, it's perfectly fine to just leave it alone. Keep in mind, the FireWire connection from your case would simply not be usable (obviously) since it doesn't connect to your motherboard.

Anyways, if you do not have any FireWire devices, then the port is useless anyways. So it's fine to leave it alone.

lmao even Apple has pretty much abandoned Firewire for Thunderbolt at this point.

It's the least of your concerns.
