most chinese people are racist towards other races lol my parents arent "proper" racists, but they do stereotype a lot

but its not something they just think, its mostly from their own personal experience and tbh i wouldnt blame them. I mean the black people in my area mostly run about in gangs and hoods, and they dont see much different, its not like our generation, where we actually get to go out and see that its not all like that

Racist is not a new thing. For instance, it's not unusual for chinese to dislike malays because they have special and elevated rights while us chinese just have to struggle through without help. They pay less for car loans, pay less for houses, borrow money without returning, etc. They don't have too much trouble finding work because it is a law that all businesses must have 30% of malay workers or more. Malay students get scholarship to do medical a lot easier than other races. I feel this unequality brings about confrontation.

As for me, I'm not a particularly racist person. I have friends from all sorts of races. But then again, all my friends believe all races should be equal because we are all people, inhabitants of Earth.

  4. ye my gran has said some strange things in the past but i guess she doesnt realise what she is saying, thats the older generation for you. imo its not racism, just ignorance.

Racism exists everywhere in the world. In Canada where I live, people always say it's a multicultural society where there's no racism. Bullshit. Lots of racism but just being covered up by intentional acts to make it seem like there's no racism.

You should look at the laws of my country. It's like the entire country has only 1 race and that race is the master of all other races.

I mean equal in status. It doesn't take away how special and unique each culture and tradition of each race. But there isn't 1 race that's worth more or less than any other. That's what I mean.

  11. Yeah, its a great shame to see the human race divided so much, pride causes one to consider themselves better than another.

Exactly. I think it would make a huge difference if more people view their culture as special and important and yet not despise or dislike other races. We need to see ourselves as part of a whole. As a human of earth. That easy.

When we have to compete for earth's limited resources, we are fueled with racism to mark our place in the social ladder of mankind. wtf did I just say?

  16. you should have told him the same, natives of Australia are aboriginal last time i checked. difference is, he prolly doesnt know were he came from.

people say that alot but its just an excuse imo, were all prejudice and accept stereotypes to an extent, but not all racists, that's were things get malicious and we go out of our way to hurt others, we dont all do that.

haha, I'm racist myself, admittedly, but not like to an extreme extent like that racist aussie that was brought up earlier. I don't mind multicultural friends. those are perfectly fine. but I get super racist when it comes to dating though. no "other races" for me, thanks.

ditto that, it's like that in malaysia....i'm not too much of a racist too but sometimes just couldn't stand some of them..even them malays are more racist than us chinese...for eg in the university where many malay lecturers favor malay students...it's just so unfair...
