Since all my uploads are Rapidshare links, just thought I should share this.

This works for Rapidshare, Megaupload, Sendspace. ( tested and working, it might work for other hosts too )

This only works for dynamic IP address Internet users, won’t work if you are using a proxy or have a static IP address.

I'm using DSL with the 2wire modem.

    1. Unplug and replug your modem
    2. Go to Start
    3. Click Run
    4. In the run box type cmd.exe and click Ok
    5. When the Command Prompt opens type the following. ENTER after each new line.

    Code:
    ipconfig/flushdns
    ipconfig/release
    ipconfig/renew
    exit
    5. Erase your cookies for the browser you are using to download from. ( you can erase your cookies before or after you run the Command Prompt )
    6. Try your download again.

Sometimes it doesn't work after I do all the steps above, don't worry this rarely happens just try again and it should work, that is if you have got this method to work before.

usually a restart of the modem or router reassigns a new ip, so you dont need to even type in the ipconfig stuff

    but good advice nonetheless

that was exactly what i was thinking. just disconnect and reconnect and u should be able to get the file.

    The_Jelly NSFW? :P

This has been around for awhile but most of the ISP's in Canada give you a static IP.

i think u can jus do it thru the modem control panel page. this way, u dont have to walk over to the modem to restart it.

This work for earthlink ds, for comcast don't bother because they change ip every 3-4 month even if you have dynamic line, they do that for tracking purpose.
