RAR file ????????

I have just downloaded a music file from the internet... I've just gone to play it back, and now find that i can't.
It's an RAR file - I have both winamp & windows media player..
Is there a way I can convert this into a file that I can open ??
I'm using windows XP.

Any help with this would be fantastic - THANKS !!!

 

Hi to open up a .rar file you will need a program called winrar you can get it at rarlab.com i blv or rarlab.net i dont remember

Sometimes people who upload choose to put a password on the file so random people don't open it. There should be a password posted somewhere on the thread where you downloaded the file... check there

Oh ya, btw, WinRaR downloaded from its official website is a shareware/evaluation copy of the program, so it's always going to ask you to register and crap.

This doesn't happen if you get a full copy from *cough cough* Torrent Spy

 

thanxs hkm94150...when i key in the password it come out Diagnostic Error it say the file "header is corrupt"...what can i do...

 

Hmm. I've never had that happen before. Maybe the file might be corrupt? Try redownloading it? Hope that works.

probably entered the wrong password... check it twice.

 

u culd try different extracting programs, some extract better ....

 

nah... I say winrar pretty much does it all... you should try to copy n paste the password.

 

i can extract the file file now...coz last time i download the winrar dat not support win xp...anyway, thank you to all of you....tqtq

 

some one help me please. I've downloaded ( ACDSee.v9.0.108.Photo.Manager.Incl.Keymaker-COREe.zip ) file. 100% downloaded but can't seems to double click to open the file. I have winzip but can't extract. How do I open the file? How do I check to confirm its a zip file? where to go?

How about right click and unzip? Does it allow you to do that?

 

torrent makes me feel super dumm dumm. -what? All I know is watch movie. First time downloading software, has no clue how to extract.

have made a scan copy, can some one guide me what I need to open this file?
