After catching a brief break over Lunar New Year weekend, Raymond Lam (林峯) and Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) are back in the studio to film crime thriller The Apostle <使徒行者>.

Playing opposing undercover informants who hide their true purpose behind a veil of romance, both Raymond and Charmaine are excited about their refreshing roles and are happy to take on the challenge. The pair last collaborated in 2011′s My Sister of Eternal Flower <花花世界花家姐>, and since then Charmaine took her career to China while Raymond faded from the TV screen. As one of TVB’s more popular on-screen pairings, their reunion this year will hopefully generate the ratings boost that the company is trying so hard to achieve.

Coming back after a year-long absence, Raymond feels disoriented on-set though will get used to the process again in no time. Since his relationship with Karena Ng (吳千語) was exposed in early 2013, he has been chastised for pouring all of his energy into love and neglecting his work. Perhaps love is now truly his top priority; Raymond spent his three-day Lunar New Year holiday with Karena in Japan instead of with his family. Before anyone starts to complain however, he noted that his parents were too busy greeting new year visitors to care and reassured that he and his girlfriend have both phoned home to give holiday blessings.

Although she is single and could not ring in the new year with a romantic getaway, Charmaine is all smiles on today after winning family dice games three days in a row. Suffering from a slipped spinal disc in November that led to numbing and limb pain, she has been carefully resting and committed herself to physical therapy in order to film The Apostle on schedule. Nearly recovered, Charmaine is happy to be on set of her major TVB comeback and will exercise precaution when filming any intense action sequences.
