Raymond Lam (林峯) checked in at an event in a shopping mall today with label mate Vincy Chan (泳兒). The “Heart Attack” singer revealed that label mate Hins Cheung (張敬軒) was supposed to attend the event, but because the singer is bedridden with pneumonia, Raymond decided to lend a helping hand and attend the event on his friend’s behalf. “We talked in the phone and his voice was in a really bad condition,” said Raymond. Originally slated to perform at his own Hins Live in Passion — Macao concert on January 30, Hins had to postpone the concert to February 27 due to his illness, and he was also at risk to cancel several public appearances. Fortunately, Raymond and Joey Yung (容祖兒) agreed to attend Hins’ events on his behalf. “I hope he’ll recover soon. Since I have nothing else to do besides training, I decided to lend a helping hand,” said Raymond. Would Raymond be paid for this appearance? “I have no idea. I’m just here to help.” Raymond is gearing up for his upcoming Hong Kong Coliseum concert in April. The actor-singer is putting himself under a strict training regime to build more muscle. Because of this, the 36-year-old appeared noticeably thinner at the event. “I didn’t weigh myself, but I probably dropped over five pounds,” said Raymond. “But the point of my training is not to lose weight. It is to further define my muscles. It’s all about the thin skin,” Raymond added with a chuckle. With Lunar New Year coming up, Raymond said he has already warned his family about certain foods he can’t eat. “I have to be really picky about my food. I’m okay with abalone as long as the juice is light on the sugar. I can’t take in too many carbs.” Creds: Oncc
