After performing at concerts in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, Raymond Lam (林峯) barely had time to rest before preparing for his upcoming concert in Macau. He was currently rehearsing for his May 12th concert at The Venetian hotel and casino. Raymond revealed that the stage design budget was astronomical, in order to give audiences an ultimate sensory experience! Raymond’s new Macau concert will be called “Light Up My Live, Raymond Lam Concert 2012: Macau.” Since the theme will be “light,” the elaborate stage design will incorporate exhilarating beams of light to complement Raymond’s fast track songs. During the rehearsals, Raymond ran all over the stage to find the optimal positions for his performance. Raymond stated, “The production costs are astronomical. I hope to give viewers visual enjoyment. I will try to put in my best efforts and shine on stage!” Mavis Pan Changes Name; Draws Clear Lines from Raymond Lam Raymond’s music career held a lot of promise. It was easy to forget that Raymond’s bed scandal with ex-girlfriend, Mavis Pan (潘霜霜), had taken place in March 2011. Since last year’s scandal, Mavis and Raymond allegedly have not seen each other in person. No matter what she did, backlash for Mavis appeared to follow her everywhere, forcing her to cry at a public event earlier. Currently staying in Phuket, Thailand, Mavis was worried about a possible tsunami occurring after an earthquake in the coast of Indonesia on April 11th. She left an anxious message on her Weibo blog stating that she had to escape to the mountains to avoid danger. The 8.6 magnitude earthquake set off panic in Southeast Asia, as tremors were felt in Indonesia, Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Fortunately, a tsunami did not occur. On her Weibo blog in late March, Mavis announced that she wished to change her name from Pan Shuangshuang to Pan Meilin (潘美霖). Apparently, she was ready to end the association of her name with Raymond in tabloids and fans’ minds. However, fans did not like the new name and recommended that she keep her old name, Pan Shuangshaung. Creds: Ming Pao/The Sun/Jstars
