since his brakes were tampered with, why doesnt he just put the car on reverse and attempt to slow it down that way.
LOL ... do you know what would happen if you change the gear to reverse if it was travelling at 70km? It doesn't just slow it down ....
It will grind the shit outta the gears and then probably blow the effff up? NO....joke aside, all trannies is designed to sync each gear in order which makes it impossible to shift to reverse. I think he meant the E-Brake, or should i say nowadays, we call it the 'Parking brake".... which in some case, is even more dangerous...
While putting the car into reverse may have been impossible, down shifting would have slowed the car down. His brakes didn't work, but his vehicle's engine was not undergoing forced acceleration.
