If you ask this question 2 - 3 years ago, I could give you a good answer.
But nowadays, the cellphone had merged with the PDA.
So the first question are you looking for a PDA or PDA in combination with phone?

I like the HP brands for PDAs. They look good and the control pad is easy to get used to.

If you just need to keep on top of your schedule and already have readily access to the internet... I say save on the PDA and stick with your good o cell phone.

I recommend Google Calendar and enable the Text Messaging feature. It can send you reminders at a set time before the actual scheduled event. You can also text google to add new events (so you're not limited to web browsers).

If you phone has WAP or internet access, then you can even view your calendar anytime via www.google.com/calendar/m

If you're going on an african safari (and therefore no connection), google has printable formats.

Because of Google Calendar, I'm up to date on my schedule and I don't have to carry a brick along with my much more portable/compact/stylish phone :)
