Hmm.. I dont really understand why everyone sterotypes all Honda cars as ricers. Yeah i know there are heaps of s riced up civics, but there are some nicely tuned hondas (some s2000, honda integra's) out there. Right now im considering buying a Honda Integra Type R Dc2, but as i look in forums or search for info about vtec, everyone is always like Honda - RICER, RICER, RICER. It's not like i care what all these people think, its just im wondering why must people associate all honda cars as ricers. It's like saying because a few white people are racist, all white people are racist, which of course isn't true. Anyways just wondering what you guys think about Hondas. What would even better is what you think about the Honda integra type r dc2, pros / cons maybe =p An dc2r owner post about what he thinks of the car would be great also =D
Ricer is just a name someone made up. I don't find it offensive. If you do just ignore it. For all you know Asians started calling their own cars ricers.
Well considering that a lot of asians do drive Hondas and that a good amount of them are fixed up (especially the ones driven by younger people), its just come to be refered to as rice rockets. To me a rice rocket is just a fixed up asian car, so there is really no offense in that term...but thats just for me. Im sure some people would take that term offensively. ITR is a very fun drive. Got some kick and handles very well. I know a couple of people with them, and have driven them a handful of times. If you could, try to get your hands on a lancer evo. NOW that car is fun to drive. Will outdo a DC2 in every aspect, but the price is just a lot more My friends actually trying to get rid of his ITR and then get an EVO cause he got hooked on it after driving it.
Haha yeah i checked out the evo, but its out of my price range atm =p was thinking about an s2000 or evo after the ITR, but thats a long way away =(
ricer? hmmm never heard ppl calling their rides ricers b4. integras are good considering how much they are but a lot of wannabes have supped up integras. i hate it wen some kids drive down a busy street going at like 5mph(seriously) and the muffler is roaring like shit. personally i like the s2000 but wen i see a s2000 on the street i automatically assume a girl drives it cuz it just doesnt look dat masculine in american standards. if u have extra cash just get a si. but if u broke like me, get an old integra.
Well in places like Vancouver or Toronto...there are a lot of cars that are Riced out...like having park benches as their spoilers...so disgusting to see actually...some looks nice but others are just horrible...
Rice could have different meanings.. for some it's when a car has a buncha stickers on it with a big wing in the back with a horrible looking paint job. For others it could be a clean looking car that has been moded and call that rice.. maybe because of aggresive driving... but anyways.. for other any Civic or Teggy is rice lol. Oh well, smoke em.. and show em who's the rocket
