Anybody that use to or does retail currently, share your experience with us about a customer that pissed u off and such. I used to work for a computer store, and this customer pissed me off and ask for my name so he can call my manager, I took off my name tag and said "f^$k off"! He got scared along with the ppl next to him. scared him off. I also noe a friend who used to work at starbucks and spat into this dudes coffee cuz he had to remake it like 3 or 4 times.
I would never mess with the waiter even if the food is bad. Did you see that movie Waiting? That's based on a true story.
too many stories of horrible customers. retail is just the most horrible thing in the world. retail and the food business both just suck.
i used to work for a pizza haven n i hate it when ppl ring n complain to the manager but he wouldn't take the phone n make me deal with it....!!
These happened a while back, but I still have memories of them. I had an old geezer fucktard who told me to find a more "degrading" job, that I was wasting his time, that I was "stupid," etc. -- ALL because the dumbass didn't know whether he inserted a $20 or $50 into the self-checkout machine. So he was all complaining to the manager about the situation and they were all looking at the retard like.. WTF? I took off my uniform and while he was leaving, I pushed one of those large loading carts to the back of his car and when he was backing out, he hit the cart and instantly stopped. I then went up to his window and screamed "FUCK YOU, YOU OLD MOTHER FUCKING BITCHASS!" and coined the side of his car and window and then ran off. I had this customer complain to me about a price of a product when I rang it up.. he was like "it was supposed to be $0.40 cheaper." It was $0.40 fucking cents and the guy was bitching, so I went to the aisle with him and told him to point out where he found the price. He pointed to this other product which looked similar, but not identical. So I matched the SKU and UPC code with the one under the RIGHT price. He then goes ballistic and tries to rip off the price off the OTHER SIMILAR product.. while saying "CAN YOU FUCKING READ?! THIS IS THE PRODUCT UNDER THIS PRICE, LEARN TO FUCKING DO YOUR JOB.." I told him.. "sorry sir, if you can't read, don't take it out on me, it's not my fault your elementary school teacher fucked up." He continued screaming and the managers eventually walked his ass outta the store. I'm sure there was smaller situations, but it's probably not worth mentioning. These were the two most memorable and will never forget the shitty environments of a retail job. Never will I work under any position which "serves" customers, retail-wise. The pay sucks, stress sucks, customers suck... anything about retail sucks.
I do part time retail at a University Bookstore....... MAAAAAAAAD b!tchES come through, so I don't mind.
i like to be the stpid customer that goes to a clothing store and mess up all the tables with the nicely folded clothes. hehe. but working as a cashier, i hate old ppl who ask for a discount. and i hate ppl who takes fookin forever to count like 20 dollars worth of pennies when there is 20 ppl behind her. i ahte those creeps that come in and complain about everything. they only do it becase they are sad and lonely, they have no friends so there only method of human contact they can get is at the mall.
I had a customer one time walked into the store I worked. He was middle aged, seemed pretty polite. Was I wrong. He bought a few outimes then walked out of the store. He rushed back in yelling and screaming saying the I ripped him off. He said he paid with a 100 dollar bill and i short changed him He said some nasty and racist things. I called my supervisor and told her the details. She went to talk with him, and checked the registar for the said 100 bill. When she tole him it was not there he became violent and we had not choice but to call the police. Of course we had another colleague in the back to call it in so that it wont make th situation worse. I tell you he broke the glass display counter. This guy was really unstable. When the police came in, he told his story but when he felt that they didn't believed him he got really mad again and alnost decked on of the police officers. He was arrested. After that incident, in all situations I always deal with it in a calm and carefully so no one gets hurt. You never know who you are dealing with.
