China 3D Digital Entertainment has released a second teaser trailer for the much-anticipated film sequel of the 2000 TVB drama Return of the Cuckoo <十月初五的月光>. The film’s first teaser, a trailer that introduced the film’s cast, was released on the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Return of the Cuckoo stars Chilam Cheung (張智霖), Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼), and Nancy Sit (薛家燕), reprising their roles from the original television drama. Unable to be together, Chilam’s Chor Gor Gor and Charmaine’s Kwan Ho find each other again fifteen years later, ending with a moving love story. The second teaser focuses on the heartwarming romance between Chilam and Charmaine that will be played out in the film. The trailer opens up with Chilam blowing on a silver whistle, as if calling for Charmaine, and tells her, using sign language, that he will always be with her no matter where she goes. In another scene, the trailer introduces a new character Kei Kei, played by Joe Chen (陳喬恩), who seems concerned about Chilam’s relationship with Charmaine. In addition, Chilam and Charmaine filmed a tearful scene at the Macau Tower, 230 meters up from the ground. Return of the Cuckoo will start playing in theaters on November 12. Trailer
