It's been nearly 3 years since 2008 when the downfall of the USA hit global news. In the past months, unemployment was officially under 9%.

In realities, what have you folks been doing and what are you doing? Where and how is it like around your area?

Still going school? Still using mom and dads money? Or is the whole fiasco about crisis just BS? I am curious and want to know, if you are willing to tell the truth !

From what I can say, the USA is in very dire situation. Whether you believe me or not, take a peak at the exchange rate. More so, w/ Japan in the situation it is in, what will become of us, in the next 10-20 years?

I have talked to fellow college classmates and most are suffering! Those in the travel industry are taking hits, the insurance industry, as well as the finance industry have not improved. Simple put, there is NO NEED to hire new grads, no real growth what so ever.

Some of my friends have been layed off since 2008 and have yet to find a job, yet others have not HAD A JOB since 2008, and have done scrap work, a total waste! That's how harsh it is.

Really, how is it there? I am just curious. If you don't want to be truthful, that's fine. I only found the time because I finally had some time. I know someone that posts constantly online is not someone really in the real world, like wise, those that only talk about college courses still have yet to grasp the shock of society. In the end, the realities should be understood. Curious how much PA has grown !

The cats outa the bag. The constant posts online has kept me away from the real world. Must increase post count!

I went back to college, got a full time job that doesn't offer me benefits and I cannot afford to get sick.

I am just grinding and saving to pay off the dai yee long.

I think the unemployment crisis is a little blown out of proportion to be used against the people running the country. Afterall, Obama did step in with plenty of baggage and I suppose he is doing what he could to clean up the Bush mess.

Honestly, if you're in school... finish it and then go look for work. Bachelor degrees are doing minimum wage jobs. It's still pretty brutal out there with no work experience.

  4. I got lucky that I was able to worn as a temp for awhile and then finally they hired me full-time.... so the recession has not hit me as hard.... thought i didn't really get into the job field that matches my degree and the pay was slightly lower than what I expected but I can't really complain

Some kid in my class is currently selling rugs with his dad who graduated with a bachelors in computer engineering....
