RIVERVIEW — A young girl got an unusual punishment this week, landing her father in jail.

First he beat her with a belt and then he shaved off her hair, according to an arrest report.

Hillsborough County deputies say 34-year-old Jose Alfredo Ajpacaja-Ajiataz, 11314 Brussels Boy Lane, was angry with his daughter because he said she took jewelry from Wal-Mart without paying for it and used a Game Boy without permission.

Her punishment began on Friday, when deputies say Ajpacaja-Ajiataz hit the girl's arms and legs with a belt, leaving bruises five days later. The next day he shaved off her hair.

The Sheriff's Office said the girl is younger than 12. Her mother and at least one other child also live at the home. It's not clear if they were home at the time.

The report states that Ajpacaja-Ajiataz admitted to the shaving but denied hitting her. He didn't offer any explanation other than that it was a disciplinary action, a Sheriff's Office spokesman said.

Ajpacaja-Ajiataz was arrested on Wednesday night on charges of physical and mental child abuse. He remains at the Hillsborough County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail.

  2. beating your child is fine, shaving her head is hardcore but i guess he has been arrested for beating his child.

with no discipline if his daughter turns into a crack head or a thief (which she already is) everyone gets to look at the father and say what a mess he made.

the current system is pathetic but its necessary to keep the current society we live in i guess.

@kay: a ;lil spank is ok...but if hes really whacking the kid its not ok....

I remember my sis stole candy once... my mum just yelled at her n she had to return it n say sorry to the cashier... i think that was enough humiliation for her to never do it again.....shaving the kid is just overdone

  6. with me beating and spanking is interchangeable, i dont mean 'beat-up' though, like using your fist or something, but im all for the belt (Y)

yeah that happened to me cheeks, took a 'toffee crisp' and got caught, had to return it and i had a visit from a belt also, was not nice at all.

ill never forget the day i told my mom that she couldnt hurt me anymore cus she wasnt strong enough and i accidentally lolled when my dad tried to discipline me but by then i had past though most of the rebellious teenage stage and i remember when my cuz said she will call the police if her mom touches her so her mom told her to go find a hostel and share a room with a bunch of strangers. my cuz didnt go down that route again.

^ lol i never stole stuff out of a shop... my sis did lor.... i do remember stealing change outta my dad's wallet while he was slping tho :p

anyway, MG.... ur tryna say u will be BELTING UR KIDS? what era do we live in? thats not normal... if u cant get thru a kid communicating with him/her... UR the one who has issues... u can teach ur kids whats right or wrong by TALKING, grounding them, hold in their allowance/mobiles/toys, send them to their room, have em to sit on naughty chair n stuff...

i know its true kids these days are messed up but belting ur kids can be traumatizing u know... a little spank is considered normal imo....i very much disagree on belting... i think its child abuse!!

  9. ^ If done right and for good reason its fine, otherwise its the slippers, they are soft anyway, if the wife was so against it then it wouldn't happen but its her fault if they turn into a nightmare!! :kekekegay:

everything is child abuse nowadays though, even spanking or shouting, just depends on who your asking.

I think the kid needed the discipline badly .. barely 12 yet already stealing from the store and not obeying her parents like that. I am sure if the dad doesn't go extreme on the discipline now, the kid will get knocked up by 13. Shaving the hair is a lot better than beating her, I think. It's enough humiliation and cause any physical harm. I am sure most if not all parents hate to hurt their own children.

Having the father arrested give the kid a bad idea .. she can lie about it by calling the police next time even when her father didn't beat her. I have seen kids lied to school admin and got their parents in trouble simply because they were grounded and can't attend a party of some sort. It's pathetic that police actually believe kids are sincere, naive, and fragile .. no no no no .. not all these days.
