Monday February 25, 2008 Hong Kong TVB will soon begin filming for new series Cordial Heroes <真心英雄> and a costume fitting ceremony was held today at TVB City. As the series will be centred around the work of the Hong Kong Immigration Department, many of the leading cast, including Roger Kwok (郭晉安), Yoyo Mung (蒙嘉慧), Patrick Tang (鄧健泓), Toby Leung (梁靖琪), Natalie Tong (唐詩詠) and Power Chan (陳國邦), appeared in uniform for the event, where they also introduced their characters. The series will be filmed with the full support of the government department, which is the last of Hong Kong's uniformed services to be featured in a TVB production. Roger's wife Cindy Au (歐倩怡) is due to give birth to their first child in April, but he will be filming for this series until May. He revealed that he has already made arrangements with the series producer Lo Wing Yin (羅永賢) to be allowed time off as soon as his wife goes into labour, so that he can accompany her into the birthing room. He said that he has already started getting excited about the birth and is worried that he will still be busy working when the baby is born. Fortunately, his mother-in-law will be on hand to help to care for the newborn. He added that they now know that the baby will be a boy. Asked what he thought about the recent reports about babies being mixed up in a hospital, Roger said that he is not worried about this because they will be attending a private hospital. As for his thoughts about good parenting, Roger said that he will allow his son to grow up with a lot of freedom and they will not be taking the "good cop bad cop" approach, because this is unfair. He smiled that he would like to have a daughter next, then his work will be done. Today was Yoyo's first day back at work after a long break for the Chinese new year and when asked where she has been, she replied that she has spent some time on a shopping trip in Japan with her friends and then going to visit her friends and relatives at home. Asked if her boyfriend Ekin Cheng (鄭伊健) joined her in Japan, she did not respond directly and just said that she went with a big group. Patrick was extremely pleased to be taking part in such a high profile production for TVB and exclaimed that this is the biggest part that he has been given since he joined TVB. He will be playing an ambitious officer at the Harbour Division of the department. To tie in with his character's image of someone who works mainly outdoors, he will be tanning his skin and cutting his hair short after he has finished work on his latest music video. credits: batgwa.
