Viann Zhang self captioned her own photo on Weibo, “That moment when love at first sight happened….” Ron Ng (吳卓羲) and Viann Zhang’s (張馨予) relationship experienced much turbulence over the last year. Aside from getting into frequent fights with Ron’s fans, Viann was rumored to be a high maintenance and controlling girlfriend. Ron’s fans frequently prayed for the couple’s speedy break up; their wish may have come true! Viann left messages on her Weibo blog hinting that it was time to let go of a relationship, while still finding happiness with her single status! Viann’s Alarming Break Up Messages Viann had the habit of writing cryptic thoughts on her Weibo blog. Her recent blog posts hinted at a possible break up with Ron. While 25-year-old Viann loved 32-year-old Ron deeply, rumors circulated that the couple broke up after their relationship reached the point where it was beyond compromise. Over the last 4 days, Viann left melancholy thoughts about love and disappointment on her blog. On June 24th, Viann hinted that her love for Ron had burned out, “Love is like the plague for human kind. It is incurable! All along, we will stupidly begin a relationship, but do not know how to end it. I hope that the person who had once brought me happiness will continue to be happy.” On June 25th, Viann hinted at people falling in love foolishly, despite getting burned and a bleak future ahead. She wrote, “Foolish moths, they strive to find the light of the moon for their entire lifetime! Even if there were a fire ahead, they have to take the leap. The fool is willing, not considering that there is no end path. As long as there is foolishness remaining, there will be a willingness to be foolish.” Viann’s message on June 26th indicated that no matter how unwilling, it was time to let go. “Like pruning flowers, you cut off the withered parts, leaving only the beautiful bits behind. Sometimes you are unable to let go of the mutual memories, rather than the person himself. One person can still be fine. Goodnight Beijing.” Ron Ng Does Not Deny Breaking Up After Viann left increasingly alarming messages on her Weibo, Ron Ng was contacted to confirm the status of their relationship. Ron did not deny that their romance may have burned out. Regarding Viann’s “break up” messages, Ron said, “She can say whatever she wishes to!” Ron and Viann did not discontinue following each other’s blogs yet. Viann Unhappy With Ron It was rumored that Viann requested the break up. The couple was often apart due to their work commitments, with Ron filming in Hong Kong and Viann spending her time in mainland China. Long distance separation was a permanent fixture in the relationship. Viann’s frequent online spats with Ron’s fans were also a sensitive area that put Ron in an awkward position. Allegedly, Viann was upset that he was unwilling to step forward to publicly acknowledge that they were dating. This made Viann question Ron’s sincerity and responsibility towards her.
