Ron Ng sucessfully steps out of his fixed image TVB’s continuation of The Academy and On the First Beat which has lead to a third Instalment Emergency Unit have given male leads Ron Ng and Sammul Chan an opportunity to take on major roles along with a new cast. The result has been satisfying for all. Reporters have always criticized Ron Ng’s acting, from Triumph in the Skies to The Four it was seen that there wasn’t much improvement and his popularity as an artist decreased and wasn’t as lucky as the other artists who were “spoilt” by TVB. But after watching Emergency Unit, people have realised that Ron’s acting has improved and his character Chung Lap Man who became an undercover cop was performed outstandingly.
