I'd like to get a new router and desktop internet adapter this weekend.

Any suggestions or recommendations from the techy ppl here? Thanks!

dlink 624 wireless n router, and dlink extreme n pci adapter, i have this at home for the 3rd year now, no issues at all...don't get linksys crappy w/o antenna routers, they aren't that great if you have cross floor wireless connections

Most popular brand is linksys, imo by far the best quality. But as noasian said make sure it's got external antennas otherwise don't buy it. And make sure to get a wireless N as it's got the best range and speed. I don't like dlink routers as i find they have bad build quality overall, and they have a tendency to die faster then linksys. This is just from personal expirence.
