Organisers have handed the voting results to an accountant and it has been figured out that only 10 awards will be handed out. It has been reported that because there are not a lot of competition between the native singers of Hong Kong, singers will not be given awards just because they attend the ceremony. The initial list of winners includes Hacken Lee, Eason Chan, Denise Ho, Miriam Yeung, Joey Yung, Twins, Jay Chou, Andy Lau, Janice Wei, Leo Ku and Justin Lo. Being the newcomer queen of last year, 5 of Janice’s songs have topped RTHK’S music charts and her album ‘My Love’ has sold more copies than Hacken Lee’s ‘Concert Hall Part 2’. So it is certain that Janice will be receiving an award. kinda odd how kelly chen, andy hui, and jordan chan new album songs didn't make it..seems like people are more into the new generation of celebrities nowadays..
