Ruby Lin’s (林心如) popularity in mainland China continued to climb. In 2010, Ruby sought to have greater control over her career by forming her own production company, Ruby Lin Studios. She produced the recent drama, The Glamorous Imperial Concubine < 倾世皇妃>, in which she starred with Wallace Huo (霍建華). Ruby was currently filming the highly anticipated, The Patriot Yue Fei <精忠岳飞>, in China and her personal wealth was rumored to have surpassed $100 million Yuan! At the same time, rumors surfaced that Ruby may have reconciled with ex-flame, Stanley Tong (唐季礼). From 2002 to 2008, Ruby was romantically rumored with Stanley Tong. The pair reunited professionally to film The Patriot Yue Fei, a 60-episode historical drama about the downfall of General Yue Fei in the Song Dynasty. Stanley served as the producer of the drama, while Ruby portrayed the wife of General Yue Fei, played by Huang Xiao Ming (黄晓明). Since Ruby’s collaboration with Stanley Tong on The Patriot Yue Fei, rumors spread that they had reconciled their relationship. In addition, Ruby will be appearing as a bridesmaid at her good friend, Annie Wu’s wedding (吴辰君) in June 2012. Stanley Tong will appear as the Best Man, fueling additional rumors that Ruby and Stanley had reconciled. Filming for an ad yesterday, Ruby denied the rumors, “Currently, we have the relationship of a producer and actress only!” Indicating that she was single, Ruby stated that she will be very careful in deciding who to date. She treated friendship very carefully as well and was selective in who she regarded as a true friend. “I will not reveal my true heart at first. It will take at least half a year for me to become good friends with someone.” Ruby was quite shocked by the recent divorce rumors surrounding Taiwanese actress, Chen Mei Feng (陈美凤), who allegedly has been secretly married with her boyfriend, David, for 9 years. If the couple were to divorce, David sought to receive a separation fee of $200 million Taiwan dollars! Creds: Sina/Xinmin/Oncc/Jstars
