Despite dominating the online polls as the audience’s choice for TV King, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) lost out to veteran actor Anthony Wong (黃秋生) at the 2015 TVB Anniversary Awards. However, Ruco’s popularity and fandom has not decreased. Ruco will be filming ICAC Investigators 2016 <廉政行動 2016> this year. Turning 39 years old on January 14, Ruco expressed that he will not have to work on his birthday and will celebrate his birthday with family at home. When asked what his birthday wish will be for this year, Ruco smiled and jokingly said that he wished to work less but earn more. On a more serious note, however, Ruco expressed his desire for more opportunities to sing more theme songs for dramas. Ruco’s music career was short-lived in the 1990s after Polygram Music became defunct. He hopes to have another chance in the music industry. When asked whether he hoped to release his own music album, Ruco said, “I’ve thought about it. I would like to accumulate more songs first and take it slow. Hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to fulfill my wish of holding a mini concert.” On whether he aspires to compete at music awards ceremonies as a newcomer, Ruco said, “I don’t mind.
