In a rush to get to work this August, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬) was caught speeding in Tseung Kwan O and was photographed by hidden street cameras. The road’s speed limit was 30 miles per hour, but Ruco was caught driving at 60 miles per hour that night. At the court hearing today, Ruco’s lawyer represented his case and the 37-year-old star was eventually fined a total of $1500 HKD. The judge also suspended Ruco’s driving license for six months, although he does not have any previous traffic convictions. Admitting that he was wrong in the speeding incident, Ruco said he had considered hiring a chauffeur so he can commute to work quickly and adhere to his busy schedule. However, wanting to save money, Ruco decided against it and ultimately decided to find another method of transportation. Feeling regretful, Ruco explained, “I’ve been on this road for years now and I go on it every day. I’ve never been caught on camera before. Because I had to rush to work that night, this happened. I will remember that there’s a speeding camera here from now on.” In related news, Ruco surprisingly has a lighter work load in 2015 and will only be filming Captain of Destiny <張保仔>. Ruco said, “That’s even better! That way, I can have more time to rest. In the last half a year, I filmed a total of five dramas. It was very hard work.” Creds: Oriental Daily
