Ryeo Won has confirmed her participation in SBS Princess Ja Myung Go, ending her hiatus from the small screen since MBC What Star Did You Come From in 2006. She will be playing Princess Ja Myung in her first-ever saeguk drama. Ryeo Won was supposed to act opposite So Ji Sup and Ji Jin Hee in Cain and Abel this year. But the production was persistently delayed with issues so she decided to give up on that. For her role in Princess Ja Myung Go, Ryeo Won has lowered her salary per episode to just 20 million won. This is in contrast to other actresses who normally commands 30 -- 40 million won. According to someone from Ryeo Won's management, "Because of the economic crisis and the company's own difficulties, it's fine even though her salary now is the same as what she got in 2006 for What Star Did You Come From".
