Recently a Hong Kong man known by name of Victor spent at least $400,000 HKD on an elaborate proposal to his girlfriend; he rented out a lavish suite, purchased a 1.5-carat diamond engagement ring, and hired a helicopter to fly pass the hotel room while carrying a banner written with his confession. The news trended online and became a hot topic in Hong Kong. Samantha expressed, “I think it’s a waste of money. My friend and I have talked about it, and we all agreed that it would be smarter if he invested more on the diamond ring instead.
