Sammi Cheng, Nick Cheung, Gordon Lam turns up to celebrate Johnnie To's birthday! To celebrate his birthday, acclaimed director Johnnie To invited some of his friends for dinner at a seafood restaurant in Sai Kung the night before last. Sammi was one of the attendees, along with Nick Cheung, Gordon Lam and other movie crew members. Johnnie arrived at the restaurant at about 7pm that night, and his guests slowly turned up after him. According to reports, Johnnie prepared 6 cases of wine for his guests, and most of them appeared to be red in the face after the dinner. Johnnie hugged Sammi as they left the restaurant and got into his car, and both appeared to be in high spirits. During this time, a fan of Sammi's went up and asked for a picture, and Sammi happily obliged. Johnnie told reporters that his birthday wish was to film more good movies, while Sammi told reporters that her gift to Johnnie was a simple birthday card. Johnnie said he had not opened it to read, while Sammi told reporters what she had written inside. "I wrote some things in there to scold him! Because normally I don't get the opportunity to do it, so I had to take the chance!" Johnnie went on to say that he would definitely work with Sammi again, but he did not know when that would materialize. Sammi, who was at that moment being hugged by Johnnie, exclaimed, "He's writing a blank cheque again!" Sammi also went on to say that she was in the midst of preparations for her May concert, and then childishly told Johnnie, "Don't always say that I'm fat!" Johnnie immediately patted her on her head and said, "She's very clever. She loses and puts on weight so easily!" Sammi immediately admonished Johnnie for saying that she was fat! Johnnie then told reporters that he would definitely attend Sammi's concert, and Sammi replied, "If he would just sit there for 10 minutes, he would be giving me a lot of face already!" After this exchange, the entire group left for a wine bar that is owned by Johnnie, and it seems that Sammi sang her hit, <Forever Beauty>, dedicating it to Johnnie for his birthday. Apparently, she gave the song a rock feel to it! The party disbanded at about 2am, and both Sammi and Johnnie left, with Sammi showing off her slender waist, and Johnnie his beer belly!
