Sammul Chan (陳鍵鋒) is currently busy in China filming for mainland grand production Rose of Jianghu <玫瑰江湖> and will be spending his winter months in Hengdian, where they are making good progress with the shoot. The writers had earmarked Sammul for the main part in the series very early on and fortunately he had a space in his schedule to fit the job in. The series has been billed as an "alternative martial arts story" and features many large, intricate and beautiful sets and some spectacular winter scenery. The female leads in the series are mainland actresses Huo Siyan (霍思燕) and Sun Feifei (孫菲菲), who have both worked with Sammul before. Siyan played Sammul's beloved in The Last Princess <最後的格格>, whereas Feifei will be his main love interest in this series, so Sammul laughed that he becomes a split personality when he is with them both. Other familiar faces in this series include Damian Lau (劉松仁), Sheren Tang (鄧萃雯), Benny Chan (陳浩民) and Wallace Chung (鍾漢良).
