Thursday January 11, 2007 Hong Kong Sammul Chan's Salary at $30k Per Episode? A recent magazine article noted that Sammul Chan Kin Fung's salary has shot up to $30,000 (HKD) per episode of filming. He recently accepted the lead role for a mainland series, "The Last Princess." The series will be 28 episodes. However, tabloids like to stir up gossip, claiming that Bosco Wong Chung Chak was willing to cut his salary in order to snag the role. However the producer wanted to cast Sammul due to his healthy image. Charmaine Sheh Si Man was considered for a role in "The Last Princess" as well, but due to scheduling conflicts, Charmaine could not appear in the series. Sammul's manager was contacted to verify the rumors, but she replied nervously, "I can not reveal any details at this point in time, as we have to abide by the contract provisions [to remain silent]. As for questions regarding other artists, please do not ask me." Bosco's manager, Tina, refuted rumors that Bosco cut his salary to appear in "The Last Princess." Tina said, "Bosco is busy filming 'The Most Beautiful 7th Day.' After the series completes filming, Bosco will immediately start working on Chik Kei Yi's 80 episode series, 'Jewel's Splendor.' His schedule is already tightly packed!" credits: tvbcity, asianfanatics.
