Last night at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, 27-year old winner of the 2009 Miss HK Pageant, Sandy Lau (劉倩婷), and 43-year old feng shui master, James Lee (李丞責), held a glorious wedding, estimated to have cost nearly $90 million HKD. With over fifty tables of guests, the banquet alone cost $3 million HKD. James also bestowed the bride with a Range Rover and property in mainland China. In addition, he handed out lucky red envelopes to the media, and even hired over ten photographers to capture the highlights of the memorable night. Although James had divorced his former wife in April of 2010, he was quick to find new love. James and Sandy’s chemistry sparked after collaborating in TV show, Hong Kong Enigmata <香港玄案>. He finally decided to make his proposal last month, in which Sandy had happily accepted. On the day of their wedding, Sandy appeared in a red and yellow Chinese traditional dress. James caught everyone’s attention in his attire full of embroidered dragons. There was a golden dragon on each of his shoulders and legs. Since he was a Feng Shui master, it might have had something to do with it. Many celebrity couples attended the wedding ceremony to celebrate James and Sandy’s sweet moments. These included Vincent Wong (王浩信) and Yoyo Chen (陳自瑤), Jack Wu (胡諾言) and June Chan (陳琪), as well as Mandy Cho (曹敏莉) and Jacky Cheung (張家傑). Other guests included Andy Lau (劉德華), Cutie Mui (梅小惠), and Regen Cheung (張惠雅). During the dinner banquet, James and Sandy kissed passionately and threw flower bouquets. In the latter half of the evening, Sandy changed into a dazzling evening gown and wore bright diamond jewelry. When facing the media, she smiled warmly and exclaimed, “My husband gives me surprises every day!” James praised Sandy, “(My wife) is an academic achiever; she is gentle and straightforward; she is priceless!” Along with the bridal gifts, James hinted that he had spent an 8-figure sum on the wedding, which he planned for 10 months. Sandy revealed that she wished to honeymoon at a sunny beach with few people.
