http://a.Dramasian.com/chineseimgs/saving-general-yang-2013.jpg Touted as one of the most anticipated films of 2013 and produced and written by father/son duo Raymond Wong (黃百鳴) and Edmond Wong (黃子桓) and directed by Ronny Yu (于仁泰), Saving General Yang <忠烈楊家將>is a period war film that boasts an impressive and good-looking male cast hailing from Hong Kong, Taiwan and China and a story line that was inspired by true events. Saving General Yang centers around the legendary Yang clan, starring Adam Cheng (鄭少秋) as General Yang. Ekin Cheng (鄭伊健) replaced Louis Koo (古天樂), who unfortunately had to back out due to a leg injury, as the first son. Yu Bo (於波 ) portrays the second son, Vic Chou (周渝民) as the third son, Li Chen (李晨 ) as the fourth son, Raymond Lam (林峰 ) as the fifth son, Wu Chun (吳尊 ) as the sixth son and Fu Xinbo (付辛博 ) as the seventh son. General Yang’s seven sons must use their individual strengths and skills to engage in an epic battle against 3,000 warriors in order to save their father. Several of the sons meet their deaths as they sacrifice their own lives to save their father in the timeless tale of filial piety. Fast-paced battle scenes are backed by carefully-crafted cinematography and choreography. In fact, the film boasts itself as “The movie with the most battle scenes on horses” due to the fact that over 60 percent of the fighting is done on horses. To add depth to the film, Korean pop group Super Junior-M was tapped to record the theme song, “I Support You” <我挺你>, a song about brotherly love and support. With the star-studded cast, epic battle scenes and an emotional theme song to wrap it all together, Saving General Yang should definitely be on everyone’s list of films to watch in 2013. wtf? english? but anyways, look pretty good, cant wait for this one... always like ray's ancient shits....
hm... where's donnie yen and people like wu jing who can actually fight instead of those "pretty boys" who can't fight for sh¡t? it looks good though so far, reminds me a lot of 300, especially that part with the slowmo where a guy is bashed up his shield. oh and what's up with the horse walking in red paint at the beginning?
