i did a search and couldn't find any info on this...so i hope in not offending any of the higher ups with my question =) cuz ur all doing such an excellent job =) and i really do appreciate all the hardwork from all you...

anyways, why is the search tool so limited to the things it finds? hm what im tryin to say is...its hard to find certain things because some of the names/words i use seem to be too general/specific..but there are some threads that have very general titles...

for example: if you tried to search for "jan lam" (which i've tried) nothing would show up because both words are either too general or too specific, im not quite sure..

and i know people might tell me to be more specific or use the album or movie name.. but there are times when that either doesnt work or i don't know the name...is there a way to bypass this or another way to search more effectively?

try using the advance search.....pick a section in particular you want to search

you can try using quotes if Jan Lam is the full name of the person. eg "Jan Lam" that will help with names that are too short. if that doesn't work that would mean there isn't anything found on him or he has an alternative name (try searching Hoi Fung).

To sum it up, you really gotta play around with search engine and understand how it works. Understanding what AND, OR, and " "s does make it a bit easier.

there are now two search engines for the site. the first one is for the front page the one underneath it on forum page will search the forum :)
