Selina Jen Weds Today

Taiwanese singer Selina Jen will be marrying fiancé Richard Chang today.

According to the Taiwanese media, it had been 374 days since Selina's on-set accident on Oct 22 last year.

Richard stood by her throughout her ordeal and the pair will finally marry today. Oct 31 will have double meanings for Selina now because not only is the day her wedding anniversary, it is also her birthday.

When asked how she was going to spend her last day of singlehood, Selina laughed and said that she did not need to prepare a thing and is not nervous at all.

She was only afraid that insomnia might cause blood to clot in her feet, resulting in a swell. Hence, the singer had made plans to sleep early.

Selina also let on her recuperation progress.

"The doctor said I've made quick progress this month, possibly because I'm about to get married. My state of mind is probably affecting my physiology," she said.

The singer also revealed that she could not go on a diet, and thus she did not lose any weight. There was no need to alter her gown.

Instead, her mother had gone through a starch-free diet. Selina teased, "Mum had really worked hard on her diet."

Four wedding outfits had been unveiled, an additional 11 gowns have yet to been revealed. Each piece, which cost around NT$5 million (S$210,000), had a romantic and sweet style, and is tailor-made.

As Selina is still wearing her pressure suit, a pair of flower motif gloves will be her most important accessory. It is believed that Selina herself did not mind revealing her scars.

Designer Lin Li, revealed that she once considered the singer's accident, and asked Selina if she wanted to hide her scars.

"We communicated many times. I never thought she'd say OK, no problem. The concept was the materials [of the wedding dresses] had to be light, and [we'd need to put on] extra make-up. Selina had no complaints," she said.
