Sharon Chan (陳敏之) and Fala Chen (陳法拉) promoted their new TVB drama, Queens of Diamonds and Hearts <東西宮略>, yesterday at a radio station. In its first week of broadcast, the drama averaged 28 points in ratings, peaking at 30 points, with approximately 2.05 million viewers watching in Hong Kong. Sharon revealed that her boyfriend felt uncomfortable after watching her seductive scenes in the drama. Due to Sharon’s seductive character as “Ha Ying Chun,” she will have intimate scenes opposite emperor, Roger Kwok ( 郭晉安) in Queens of Diamonds and Hearts. Sharon will feed Roger grapes with her mouth, as well as share bed scenes with him. Sharon indicated that her boyfriend of 7 years, Lui Wai Shun (雷偉信) watched every episode of her new drama, but felt uncomfortable towards her intimate scenes. Sharon told On.cc, “He would frown while watching, as he did not like to see me in this manner. He had this type of reaction because he loves me. As a man, he does mind my [intimate scenes]. Earlier, when he watched Ghetto Justice <怒火街頭>, he did not like my revealing scenes either! However, he fully supports the drama and me as an artist.” While Fala’s facial birthmark in Queens of Diamonds and Hearts was a topic of lively online discussion, in which some netizens claimed that her appearance was not ugly enough as “Chung Mo Yim,” the actress revealed earlier that the producer of the drama intentionally did not wish Fala’s character to appear too grotesque, as Queens of Diamonds and Hearts was broadcast during family dinner time. An overly grotesque image was avoided in order to not repulse the audience. Although everyone focused on Fala’s appearance in Queens of Diamonds and Hearts, she personally questioned how her boyfriend, Daniel Sit (薛世恒), would react to her tomboyish demeanor in the show.
