On December 2, 2012, former Miss Chinese International second runner-up, Sherry Chen (陳爽), married her boyfriend of one year, Anthony Leung (梁梓軒), in a festive beach wedding in Sanya, Hainan. On January 20, the newlywed couple returned to Hong Kong to hold a large, 34-table wedding banquet in the Four Seasons Hotel and Resort. Sherry’s bridesmaids include former Miss Chinese International contestants and winners Leanne Li (李亞男), Oceane Zhu (朱璇), Sarah Song (宋熙年), and mainland Chinese actress, Natalie Meng (孟瑤). The banquet, which roughly began on 7:30 PM, was also attended by many celebrity guests, including former TVB executive Stephen Chan (陳志雲), Loretta Chow (周美欣), Lily Hong (康子妮), Macy Chan (陳美詩), Wilson Chin (錢國偉), Luisa Maria Leitão (黎芷珊), Toby Chan (陳庭欣), and Lisa Chong (莊思明). Sherry and Anthony signed their marriage certificate at the banquet. “I didn’t even need to read the document before I signed,” Sherry said in a brief press conference after the banquet. “All I needed is to take one look at him.” Anthony joked that Sherry is a slow-thinker – Sherry did not cry tears of joy until 24 hours after their official marriage. At the star-studded wedding banquet, a video documenting the couple’s wedding adventures in Sanya was broadcast. In the video, Anthony recited, “This is my promise to you today – in the future of our marriage, I will love you, understand you, and pamper you will all my strength. You will be the world’s happiest woman.” The documentary also included endless clips of the bridesmaids playing games with the groom and his brothers. Many of the games included cross-dressing, “bromantic” kissing, and torturous truth or dare games, bringing wedding guests to fits of laughter. Sherry disclosed that it was her bridesmaids – Leanne, Oceane, Sarah, and Natalie – who came up with the games.
