dude, she was not attractive to you enough to go out with you. girls make excuses like that all the time because they don't want to hurt you. in this case, even though it hurt, she still likes you as a FRIEND and wants to stay that way. move on! there are more fishes in the sea.

Sounds like puppy love at this stage. If you start thinking about her, just tell yourself whats past is past and that its time to move on. Better deal with it now then indulge yourself in saying that we both "like" each other. Least you see her with someone else and you gonna be pissed as hell and out goes your twin cuz from my POV, sounds like shes not that interested in this relationship.

that's true what wind is saying ... move on, i know it's hard (experienced guys, 2 times) ... i know someone who date for 15 years then get married and now live happily ever after with a 2 year old princess ...

so if there are true love (or twin soul), there won't be a timeline for when it begin and end ... it's like the universe, starting from nowhere and never end in somewhere ...

In my opinion she just take you as a friend and don't want to have a relationship at the present moment.Keep her just as your friend and for the relationship find an other girl.It would be better for you.

yeah if she thinks that being friends is better than you shouldn't try to push it any further. Would only make things worst. I would suggest moving on.

I think it's okay to date... if anything, you guys will have the friendship to fall back on if the relationship doesn't work out, right?

you have to respect her wishes on this one. she just wants to be friends and so you should really just leave it at that. it's ok to still have the feelings for her but you should keep your options open. she is younger than you by 2 yrs and at the stage that the two of you are at in your life chances are you'll both meet someone new. you're starting uni in the fall and your life will change. go with the flow there will always be other soul mates!!!!

If you enjoy each others company as it is right now, why not keep it that way until u 2 are ready?
When you goto uni, things might change within, you might even fall head over heels for someone else or vice versa.....life!

Congratulations, you have been diagnosed with "oneitis!" -shock.

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=oneitis

This is actually a easy one. Like everyone else said, you gotta move on. Meet other girls, and start having "choice". Be the man. The more your getting obsessed over this "one" girl, the more you will drive yourself into depression.

Remember, girls don't like clingy guys. They want a guy who has choice with girls, a guy who already have girls in his life.

my best suggestion is to stay as friends. she's young, active, and wants to explore everything. you have less than a year before leaving high school and attend college. that's less time for her and yourself. you're better off alone as her friend until she graduates college. maybe she'll think about settling down a bit, but of course party like a rockstar. friendship does last a lifetime! it's our choice of course.

HongKongKobe, since you are in grade 12...you should focus on your studies instead and get into a good university. It's only then your intelligence, your hardwork, your strong knowledge, your ambitiousness that will attract her (or any girl).

She is telling you to stay as friends is because she doesn't want to be the reason that you fail your high school! Only when you get into university, she will feel you are mature enough and someone she can rely on when needs you. (Call it a girl looking for security :))

She is acting as like nothing happens now is because she wants to help you move on.....If you really love her then you should listen to what she says and focus on your studies instead. Once you proved you can achieve the good scores and has been waiting as she asked then you will have your chance to ask her out again.

Excuses for her to say to reject you or not......you have nothing to lose because by then, you will meet alot of nice girls at uni!!! :p

And you thought that was bad...wait til you get to the point that every signs, licence plates reminds you of her lol
I think this is a bit too early for ya, finish study but keep in touch with her, and things will be worked out automatically
