Shu Qi attracts mosquitoes Shu Qi recently became the worldwide spokesperson for KENZO and travelled to America to film the FLOWER BY KENZO advert. Due to filming at night in the woods, mosquitoes were attracted by the perfume causing her legs to be covered in itchy bites. The story of the advert is about Shu Qi passing through a fairy tale wood to catch fireflies. She ends up at a lake covered with poppy flowers where she picks one up. The production of the advert involved 290 poppy flowers and computer 3D effects were used to make her seem to be amongst the flowers. Shu Qi said, "Filming in the woods at night and standing in the water without moving for hours meant that no matter how much mosquito repellent I used, I still got a lot of bites.
