haha...yeah, it's quite an underground little world, ain't it? I remember reading somewhere that the olympics might include it in it's list of sports...that would a good development....

x-games is really a joke....it's not about the skateboarding....it does give it some exposure but it's nothing that a real skateboarding gig should be like....at least less vert and more street....i just get so bored of vert as it is....they know they're getting boring so they add obstacles into it...kinda like a street on a vert course...

obviously it aint the core of boarding..its just for mainstream appeal...i got no issues with vert...it cant all be street now...

true true. almost every time i see skating in xgames, it's not street but vert. definitely not as fun to watch or inspirational as street, but it sure beats a lot of the garbage on tv and is getting more exposure (unlike 10 years ago when skating barely got air time) which means more skateparks, more places to buy skate products, and more people enjoying skateboarding.

anyway, i try to visit: http://www.skateboarding.com/skate/videos to stay up to date in terms of vids. they got some decent clips.

Shawn White is top dawg in vert now. I saw one of his recent competition and he killed the first run and took the tittle. I thought he was gonna do a final run for the fans but he didn't. =\ Owell. I'm not sure but I think it was for the mountain dew cup? Plus I was suprised at how good he was considering he's more of a snow boarder but he definitely has skills.
