Anime for Yoshiki Nakamura's shojo manga to debut in Japan, Taiwan next week TV Tokyo's official Japanese website for the anime adaptation of Yoshiki Nakamura's Skip Beat! shojo manga has begun streaming a television commercial on Monday. This same television commercial with Chinese subtitles is being streamed by the My Cartoon website in Taiwan. The anime has been licensed by Top-Insight International Co., Ltd. to premiere on Taiwanese television on October 10 - just five days after TV Tokyo will premiere the program on October 5. Director Kiyoko Sayama (Angel Sanctuary, Pretear, Princess Tutu, Vampire Knight) is working with the studio Hal Film Maker (Angel Sanctuary, Pretear, Princess Tutu) on this project. The story centers on a teenager named Kyoko who followed her childhood friend Sho to Tokyo as he pursues his show business dreams. Despite playing housekeeper for Sho, Kyoko overhears Sho dismissing her as a boring nobody. Furious, Kyōko vows to also become an actress and defeat Sho. source: ANN
