It’s been reported that Chinese Premier, Wen Jiabao will meet with SMAP in Tokyo to arrange a concert tour for the group in China. Straits Times references Jiji Press stating, “Mr. Wen, known as the ‘people’s premier’ for his populist approach, is due to meet the group late on Saturday…The two countries are expected to arrange a concert tour to China by SMAP next year to mark the 40th anniversary of the normalization of their diplomatic ties.” Due to unforeseen circumstances, SMAP had to cancel their past trips to China, so hopefully with this new concert SMAP will be able to make it up to their Chinese fans.
