Hey ive heard a lot about how to soften your hair.... a lot of the stuff i'm too scared to try though cause it seems ridiculous. Ive heard that mayonnaise, beer, extra virgin olive oil, or eggs can help soften hair... has anyone ever tried anything like this?
Errr...I dunno bout softening the hair, but my sis used to use olive oil on her hair, and the results were shiny, black hair...so I suppose you can give that a try I couldn't stand the smell tho...lol
Tried beer, I dont remember it making my hair soft, but it made it very shiny. I've tried olive oil and avocados, besides the scent when its in my hair, which I dont really like, I love the way it makes my hair feel..-blush2
oh ive heard that about avacadoes as welll... but where i'm from... i cant buy less tha 12 for some reason LOL so i forgot about it
but with the olive oil...is it an on going thing....so it doent feel as good when u stop using it....??
hmmm i know my mom uses coconut oil.... they say it works.. wot i do... simple... condition.. leave it on like for 2 mins.. wash it off... do that on a regular basis.. n do those hot oil thingy once a week... lol... n try not to do too much damage... eg.. colouring... straighten...perm... even blow drying will actually dry ur hair a lil...
beer softens hair? that sounds crazy...i think i'll keep to my weekly hairmasks....olive oil sounds interesting though...hmm wonder if milk does any good to hair ^^
I would just use lots of conditioner if I really wanted to soften my hair. Putting edible stuff in hair sounds awful.
errr... wtf? lol whats wrong with just using conditioner? just leave it on longer than u should & its gunna be extra soft sorted
lol O they sell em in packages of 12?.. Thats silly.. Years ago I use to use an avocado balm in my hair made by Burt's Bees and it was my fav-blush2 was sooo in love with it lol but when I bought it again recently it seemed like they changed it..>.< I use an avacado once a week and it makes my hair soft for the whole week. My mother will vouch for coconut oil any day of the week..-lol she grew up using that in her hair and on her skin.. Its very good for both the skin and hair. Natural, non greasy yet offers unbeatable protection from the elements detrimental to hair and skin.
i've heard avacado... i don't know though. i don't use anything on my hair. no conditioner or anything. but i think my hair is naturally soft and straight... maybe the next time when you go to get your hair cut, you can ask the salon person
hmm.. beer.. i have lot of cases of that.. ppl call me alcoholic, i tell them is coz my hair is better than them
i use a Hair Treatment, H'suen Wen Hua made by Lush Cosmetics. http://ca.lush.com/cgi-bin/lushdb/94?expand=Haircare i put it on my dry hair, and wrap a hot towel around it and let it soak in for 30minutes. Wash and voila! Really feeds my out-of-condition hair with "Balsamic vinegar and rosemary add shine. Avocados, olive oil, and bananas add softness. Watercress and eggs are full of protein and vitamins to sustain your mane." (i put a towel in the dry on high and let it cycle threw while i plaster the mask on to get the towel really nice and hot, which helps the treatment soak in)
