Former Miss Hong Kong winners Sonija Kwok (郭羨妮) and Anne Heung (向海嵐) were among some of the beauties invited to a cosmetic launch event yesterday at Times Square in Causeway Bay. Sonija and Anne both promoted the products as giving them confidence, even when they were filming for high definition TV. Sonija is known to be a savvy investor and was asked if she has been affected by the recent developments with the world's falling stock markets. She said that she has a small amount of stocks, but she has not been affected too greatly because she had rearranged her finances when the first signs of decline were felt. Anne is currently concentrating her efforts on the Shanghai market and said that she has not dabbled in stocks and shares, preferring to invest in property instead. She revealed that the rental market in Shanghai is booming and when she finally found an apartment that she liked there, it had already been rented out when she returned several hours later.
