Just like the title states.. I just recently picked up a Sony Ericsson W800i as a Christmas present and let me tell ya, it's the most awesome cell phone I have ever owned. It does everything! Well, almost everything. It's like the Swiss Army knife of cell phones. It has an mp3 player that can rival the iPod in quality. The memory on the W800i is capable of going up to 4 gigabytes, just like the iPod Mini. The phone came with a 512 megabyte memory stick pro duo (something I'll upgrade later). Also, like the iPod, the W800i is capable of taking a wireless FM transmitter so you can use it in your car! WOW! I'm not done yet.. The W800i also comes with a super fantastic auto-focus 2 megapixel camera w/ macro functions. I have yet to explore it's photo taking capabilities so I'll just link you folks to GSMArena.com who did camera testing on it. http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n90_vs_sonye...0-review-46.php Besides having an mp3 player, it also has a built in FM radio, calendar and all the other bells and whistles standard on most phones. The phone comes in a small tight little package in a sweet orange/white case. Its lightweight and compact size barely budges your pant pockets. Well anyways.. here are some pictures I took.. I love my background and Window's XP theme! The 2.0 megapixel camera that takes pics and videos! I'll post up some samples later. Walkman > iPod OEM Sony Ericsson stereo handsfree headset. Not a very good picture, but you get the idea. I plan on changing the case later on. The orange/white theme is cool for now, but I already found something I like on eBay. i own 2 phones.... 1.Nokia 8800 (really great design) 2. Nokia 8910i (still the most beautifull phone ever made. Color display) but the W800 is also a great phone mostly used by young people. Great features like the mp3 player, 2.0m camera and lots more.....
yea its really nice phone too bad its not flip but nevertheless i still like it because of the orange color =P haha and the other stuff like mp3 and etc.
wondering about the music...how long does the battery last when used as a mp3 player? also how much internal memory is equipped? Thanks in advance.
The music? GREAAT~! Sounds gooood, even with the OEM earbuds. But I want to upgrade to some Shure noise-cancelling earbuds. I can put the phone in Walkman, music only mode and it'll play for 30 hours. If I listen to it in non-Walkman stand-by mode, I get about 12 hours. Internal memory is 30 mb. But my Memory Stick PRO Duo holds 512 mb. It's upgradable to 4 gigs.
damn i always wanted that phone... but got a E815 instead. Still takes pretty good pics for havin jus a 1.3 megapixel. But if your gonna take pics with your phone why not get one those samsung 5 megapixel phones .
Nah, not SD cards, those are too big. The W800i uses the Memory Stick PRO Duo. The 512 stick comes w/ the phone. If you want to upgrade, you'll have to purchase another one. So far they come in 1, 2, 4 and 8 gig sticks.
