Source:Engadget "It's not quite the PSP 2 some might've hoped for, but Sony is giving its handheld console a serious refresh in the form of a slimmer, lighter and faster "updated" PSP. The new unit still includes the 4.3-inch LCD and UMD, but is 33 percent lighter, 19 percent slimmer, has sped up game load times and improved battery life. The only real "new" features is a video output capability to allow you to play your PSP games on a big screen TV. You can score one in September in the original Piano Black, a new Ice Silver color, and a Star Wars Battlefront special edition. The latter two PSPs come in $199 bundles with related games and a 1GB Memory Stick in the case of Ice Silver. More pics after the break." Knoc
So if you already have one,, it is not worth waiting and buying the new version. THere is just too little extras in the new version. No integrated memory, webcam, etc
I don't think there is a "giant" improvement, so its not worth to buy one if you already have one. Functionality is still the exact same because of the same design.
I would not get this. It's like the same thing with the Ds and the Ds lite. The only extra feature in this is the tv output so It would sorta end up like playing a PS2 on your tv since the psp and ps2 have the same graphics.
lol there's a darth vader edition psp wow, that was random, but still if you already got one not really worth it lols, no real essential upgrade on this bitch.
question for the people who already have a psp, Does anyone actually download games on their psp and play?? cos if u do i wana know how?
i have one but it all depends on what version you have in order to hack it, cause if its like 3.0 or higher you cant really hack it but if its like 2.2 or 2.4 or w/e theres a chance you can
anything with firmware 3.50 and below is now hackable and can be downgraded so that homebrew and custom firmware can be used all that is needed is 1x PSP with firmware under/or 3.50, a copy of the game lumines and the downgrader
Looks like the Playstation trend extended to the PSP. I wonder if Sony saves anything from shipping, lol.
