sigh. this Asus has been nothing but trouble...

Usually, when connecting a 3.5mm jack ( RCA wire, wtv you call it), the sound switches automatically from the shitty laptop speakers to the Bose speakers ( lol@ dann hating on Bose)

Today, it magically stopped switching?! It plays sounds through the shitty laptop speakers and the sound output is absolutely horrible. No bass, barely audible. I tried messing around with the Realtek HD audio manager, setting it all to default, Itried restarting the computer, also tried restoring but it couldn't for some stupid reason. No, my speakers works fine when I plug my mp3 on it.

I've had the laptop for less then 2 months... My POS dv6000 was slow, but worry-free. Upgrade to a F50SV and all the trouble.

    Please help!

asus are NOT troublesome, is one of the better laptops out there, think about it, they make the no. 1 motherboards in the world; anyway, did you accidentally uncheck the auto switch to headphone options?
