Okay so robin is a name now lol but hey not a bad robin hahah. Ending was pretty unrealistic for a nolan batman flick lol how he survived was pretty cookie cutter there. And I think they kinda ruined Talia Al Ghul for me how she died etc and how the relationship seemed pointless before they fucked like no development whatsoever and she is supposed to be an important love interest for batman. Catwoman was not bad at all so props to anne hatheway. Also didn't like how bane got owned like that he was like unstoppable and just bam game over lol...I dont know it seems like he had a little trouble balancing all the new characters and also it seemed like the aim of this film was to be a little more lighthearted and over the top.
tbh, I personally liked this movie. I ranked the batman trilogy as TDK, TDKR, and Batman Begins. Don't forget that Bruce fixed the auto pilot, so its possible he got out a long time ago. There were a lot of plot holes in my opinion. Like a broken back will not take 3 months to heal. The bomb has a blast of a 6 mile radius and the helicopter (batcopter? lol) somehow got out in time, must have flew at a rate of 300 mph! Felt bad for Bane though...loved Talia for 30 years and did everything for her, then BAM friend zoned at the last scene. Overall, Anna Hathaway as catwoman is a pretty good casting. I still give this 8.5/10
watched the movie last night.. was friggen amazing. probably my favourite batman movie to date. i felt that some parts of the movie was cut out and couldve been made a bit longer (i wouldn't have minded a 3 hr movie tbh). there were a bunch of plotholes IMO and some cliche hollywood stuff. talia dying was cliche as hell, and the way she died was just bad. had a good laugh from that. christian bale suddenly recovering from a messed up spine in some god knows where place and then suddenly showing up in a sealed off gotham city was wtf for me. bane dying to catwoman was just shit as well. the movie pretty much set the guy up as some total badass for 2 hrs and he gets killed in a matter of seconds was a bit of a let down. other than that, enjoyable movie. 8/10
I consider it the weakest in the trilogy. Did any of you notice how cheesy some of the script was? When JGL was talking to that lady in the end she said "robin", I just lost it. I was really hoping he would just become the next Batman in Bruce's absence and that's how it would have ended. The whole "Robin" bit wasn't needed and made the ending weaker. Acting was decent I guess. Not much you could do with that script. Action was top notch, especially in the second half. The story was pretty good if you look past the poor writing. A lot of flaws, but it was still a very fun watch. 7/10
yea that robin thing was pretty lame was just rolling my eyes the whole time same with the talia al ghul twist i wish such an important character would at least get more development. Instead the villain that got more development (bane) got placed in the "minion" part lol. Talia was such a bond type villain except less developed it was not that great, plus the way she died was really stupid lol. I would say The dark knight and batman begins almost even for me (I like origin stories) and then dark knight rises just doesn't really fit in the universe that nolan created, it seems pretty out of place to me although that first fight scene between batman and bane was pretty badass. One thing that really killed some of this movie though was the quick edits in some parts, some of them just does not make sense at all.
Probs one of my biggest dissapointments of the year, near on par with Prometheus ... said before ... the introduction to new characters was just blueggh ... and they all seemed pretty one dimentional (apart from Anne Hathaway) ... he should have somehow introduced Tom, Marion and JGL in DK somehow, it just seems sloppy and dont think i actually cares to who or what they did throughout the film. *shrug*
