On June 25, Steven Ma (馬浚偉) suffered two nose fractures and a swollen left eye while filming his upcoming drama Property Protector <守業者>. During an action scene, a gun was accidentally flung towards Steven’s face, causing the injuries. The 41-year-old is currently resting at home, though he accepted a telephone interview today to give more details about the accident. Steven described the scary situation and was grateful for his co-stars’ concerns. “My left nostril was very stuffy while I slept last night, because of the nosebleed and damage from the day before. I felt dizzy after the accident. I had to sit down for quite some time before I could gather my wits. I literally bled a pool of blood! It took about ten minutes before I managed to ask my assistant for a mirror. I felt very touched at the moment however, because Tavia Yeung (楊怡) was there to help wipe off sweat and blood, and Raymond Cho (曹永廉) was pouring water for me. They were very worried.” Steven then revealed how the accident occurred. “In the scene, my opponent was pointing a gun at me, and I was supposed to kick the gun away with my right leg before my opponent follows it with a punch. I kicked pretty hard, but my opponent’s finger is still hooked onto the gun, so the gun came flying towards me!” Steven does not blame his colleague however, and is thankful that the injuries are minor. “When I filmed A Change of Destiny <天機算> in 2006, I was sent to the hospital after being hit by a horse. My right retina was shaken loose from that accident. If [the gun] hit my right eye again, my retina would’ve detached and I could’ve been blinded.” For now, Steven is taking a five-day break from filming to nurse his injuries. The actor went on Weibo to reassure fans that he is fine and thanked everyone for their concerns. “Thank you for your concern; don’t worry it’s not a big deal. I will rest for a few days. The scars should not be too deep (but they would look pretty cool). I just have to wait for my nose to slowly heal. An accident is an accident; no one needs to take responsibility. Don’t feel bad! I really appreciate the care from everyone present during the accident. It was very heartwarming!” Creds: Oriental Daily
Damn there are so much sacrifices when filming. So that means we would randomly see a scar appear on his nose in PP then since I am guessing the 5 days rest won't be enough to fade out the damage
