Who would have believed it? Now it seems like presumably healthy Chinese style cooking... is instead, deadly?:

In a rush? For a quick synopsis, just read the red highlighted lines.

Get ready for a wave of Chinese kitchen workers' lawsuit over second hand stir fry smoke. No offense, but I think the whole of public health has lost a lot of focus in recent years... <_<

LOL... You know, its been bad enough that Chinese food products have been implicated in so many problematic venues; now it seems that even a centuries old Chinese method of cooking is being taken to task. Gosh, is it me, or is it just not easy being Chinese anymore?

What next? A Stir-Fry Free Chinese restaurant? -bowroflarms

There is something missing in the report. It is a study from 1992 onwards, they did not mention if the wok are traditional iron cast or polytetrafluoroethylene -a plastic with nonstick properties - coating.

I'm not sure if the cooking surface has anything to do with it. I think they were just referring to the smoke generated by the cooking process. I would imagine that it would take a tremendous amount of heat to aerosolize that coating, probably much more than that used for normal cooking. But , the article did mention something about cooking meat as being somehow contributory. -dead

I'm waiting for them to ban chopsticks because of Eye Poke Out Hazard or some other foolishness... -bowroflarms

Seriously, this shit is just getting to be too much. You don't eat, you die; you eat, you die... So I'd rather go on a full stomach. Make mine shark fins, er... stir fried...
