It was Saturday night and I was on the way back to work to collect my final order before I finish work. However when I drove to this road it had a huge bend and afterwards as I drove round this guy deliberately stopped me. I stopped and wound down my window and asked what is wrong? But stupid old me I didn't lock my car coz I was naive. This dude asked me for a lift down to his street when it was only 10 minute walk and I said no calmly and politely coz I'm and work. Then his mate just sat in my car and said is £9.90 ok and I said no (at this point I was getting angry) the first dude got in the back of the car and they both said I was a taxi. So I just shouted at them to get the fuck out of my car and I ain't a fucking cab. And then they still won't get out so I threatened to call the police and the dude that stopped me was daring me to so I was on the process to do so theygot out of my car and the one that stopped me was trying to steal my phone which he hurt me hand by grabbing so hard and hurt me head coz he opened up my umbrella at the back which hit me on the head. I mean yes I was stupid to stop and open up my window and not locking my car. But I didn't want to run someone over and I was trying to be nice. I guess not now. This thing has bloody got me fucking anxious sitting in a car on my own now. The police wasn't called in the end because I did end up getting away and I didn't know who they were and there were 4 of them against me. So I would have been in a losing battle if that dude did end up beating me up. *Sigh*
^ -shock BB thats very dangerous, always lock car doors. I'm glad they didn't rob you. Hope you are ok -hug It happened to somebody I know too, just randomers opening car doors and jumping in. I would be very shocked too if it happened to me.
poor girl, always lock all your doors. But you were lucky considering how this situation could had went. You being alone should never stop for some strangers in the middle of nowhere. Should had called the police just to file a police report but I know that is a pain in the ass alone. At least you are safe.
No offense, but you were being a perfect victim. I think you already realize that you were not only stupid, but deadly stupid. I hate to put it to you this way, but you should have been dead already. You were very lucky and I'm happy for you. But you need to know that car jacking murder rapes happen in exactly such a manner; they find some pretense to cause you to stop (fake an accident by bumping your car, flagging you down by standing in roadway, etc). Then when you stop, several accomplices appear out of nowhere and force their way into your car at either gun or knifepoint. They then drive you to a secluded location, put two bullets into your head and dump your body. The parts of your car are stripped and on their way to other parts of the country before your corpse is even cold. Anyone who purposely stands in the way of your vehicle is already suspect. If that were me, I would have immediately run him over and then called the police to report the attempted car jacking. Heres' a bit a street wisdom; nice people wind up raped and dead. Survivors get to go on with their lives; run the asshole over and survive. Locking doors may seem like a good idea but it often doesn't help. Watch the following: You don't even need a spark plug, or a window punch, just any small hard and dense item will to. Street thieves in Africa and Asia routinely use ball bearings to smash windows, stick their hands into the car to grab whatever they can and then run. That is why so many vehicles there have outer grille work to their windows. Blackhawk, a Taiwanese military and rescue equipment company, makes a small tool called the Hawk Hook, that can also work as a window punch. Hence, if you stop or slow down, you become extremely vulnerable. If you're in the middle of a secluded location, and someone tries to stop you; my gut instinct is, you're about to be robbed. You don't owe any explanation to anyone, just step on the gas and get out of there as quickly as possible. Upon arrival to a safe location, immediately call the police.
I wasn't in the middle of nowhere I was in a main road where cars go by a lot but because it was Saturday night hardly any cars are out coz people are out at that time init. I never use to lock my cars unless kids are in there because I didn't feel the need or had met into these kind of situations now I have learnt my lesson with the anxiety added into my life now. My parents doesn't know anything about it and I haven't told my sister yet because I know what will end up happening. The anxiety has hit me a lot when I have to wait in the car on my own, I look around and stuff with my car locked with myself inside. My boyfriend even asked why have I locked the door when I have accessible access to a hammer right next to my hand brakes. Meh, I guess I am lucky that they weren't any psychotic killers and what not but at the end of the day, when my friends and I are drunk we don't stop people randomly just for a lift. And the fact that we have to phone up for a cab rather than stopping it on a road.
bloody hell ah sum .. glad your okay now ... fuck me ....... .but honestly if it was me ..... id lock em all in and drive into something and crash xD
^ I don't wanna ruin my car! Otherwise I won't be bale to get home for Christmas and I won't have my job to earn that spare cash :(
When you put "dead" and or "never getting home at all" into the calculus; all else seems rather trivial, eh? Oh, and the access to a hammer is an illusory safety feature. I would ask you, are you a kung fu expert, hammer style fighter? What exactly are you going to do with that hammer? My guess is, absolutely nothing. The presence of the hammer is actually a distraction. Get rid of it. It requires you to get out of the car and get into hand to hand combat with people who probably are a lot better prepared to do physical damage to someone than you ever will be. Even if you have a gun, unless you're willing to kill someone with it, it is useless. Further, gun or hammer, either can be taken away from you and even used against you. The best defense is to get as far away from those people as quickly as possible. Period.
Well I would have tried fighting for my life but I remember we were blocking a car going through so if anything were to happen the car behind would have been my witness to seek me justice. At the end of the day we all were shouting so I'm sure he would have heard what was going on. Well believe me if I was able to knock someone out with a bat I would definitely know what to do with a hammer. I may be short and fat and look vulnerable but I am quick at hitting and hitting at hte right places. I would use the hammer to smash the kneecap or somewhere on the leg so even if I wanna get away it gives me time. Even the hammer doesn't help I have plenty of useless goodies that will help me. Random deicers at the front passenger seat and spray them on the eyes. I got the giant steering wheel locks hopefully to smash somewhere on their bodies. If I was that unlucky enough to get attacked back with them I will accept my fate. At least I have tried protecting myself. Also the hammer wasn't my idea, my boyfriend put it there after I told him what had happened
He could have been an eye witness to your murder. Somehow, I don't find any solace in that. At any rate, I think you get my point, so I won't belabor the issue. I'm just glad you're safe.
Glad you're safe! I don't blame you for not locking your doors, I guess you never expect these things to happen to you until they actually do.
Oh man, you should never stop for people, shouldn't have even rolled down your windows, lesson learned.
That sounds like a mad day for you; crimes are getting worser and worser every day. Good to know that you've learnt your lesson and that your safe, but locking your doors is always a good practice, it prevents random people from opening your door. Hitch hikers is a no no, don't stop even for people asking questions; a big group anyway! Kids these days think money can be earned easily...
Consider yourself lucky, it could have been worst. You got away with minor bruises on your hand? It could have been alot worst.
