Suiciding is a big sin. But in the Buddhist religion, there are many circumstances, such as mental health of the individual... For instance, if the individual is possessed or suiciding for self-sacrifice, then suiciding will not be a sin. How does your religion view suicides?

reason 3, sucide is bad because our parents, family, and friends would be hurt if
they found out that thier child sucide
reason 4, why waste a good life, there are many people want to live but cant
becuase of an illness or accident
reason 5,sucide casue problem for other people , they have to clean your body

tsk tsk... suicide is no longer a sin in the christian faith... becuz if they ever had the mind of suicide, it mean that their thought at that point is very unstable, thus not letting you to think properly, leading you the reason to commit suicide. Therefore, the christian faith believe that sucide is not a sin anymore

seriously i always thought ppl would sucide are really dumb, cause no matter what they experience, there is always a 2nd chance n hope for the better. but if it's religion, then that's a different story. i remember from journey to the west, somewhere they showed buddhist scarficed himself to allow the animals in the forest or something to be able to survivie. but that isn't considered suicide huh? it's more like scarficing in this case.

I would say suicide is very circumstantial. For example, a person who had some kind of accident, and became a vegetable. But all your close friends and family know that if you ever like that, you would want to pull your plugs, is that wrong? Since you're practically almost dead?

And this came up while i was in the bathroom... lol...

Religion wise... Do you guys consider Jesus to have commited suicide? According to Webster's dictionary, they defined suicide to be "the act or an instance of taking one's own life voluntarily and intentionally." Jesus allowed himself to be nailed, isn't that like taking his own life since he never tried to fight for survival? -noclue

a very superficial question. the death of Jesus Christ is for the sins' of the world; dying for the unselfish reason to allow us to live a forgiven life and receive a personal relationship with our Lord God without any works or accomplishments of our own. Therefore, I did not consider the death of Jesus Christ as a suicidical death.

I think suicide is a selfish response to a 'depressed' situation. However, for euthansia, it is very different and plus techincally you can't kill yourself in that type of situation, but ironically place the burden on someone else. Normally a person that cares very much about you. Other than euthansia, a 'normal' (if you can call suicide anything of normality) suicide is a rejection of love.

our lives are full of love. if not from our family, than from our friends. if one does not have friends, than from yourself. if one hates one's self, than there is always the everlasting love from the Lord that was there from the beginning and will be there till the end of time. I personally believe that life is a gift given to us from God, and therefore having us dismiss it and destory it. Is the worst type of hate. if someone knowly kills another person, it is called murder. however, when one person knowly kills themself. it is not murder. because we have the freedom to do whatever we want with our lives, disregard to the people that it may have impact on and the hatred we present to ourself.

on and on, suicide is wrong, but a sin?? -.- no.

I don't think you can necessairly blame the person committing suicide. You need to understand that their life situations put them in a situation where they are looking for a way out, they wouldn't be there if they could've done something about it: family stress, social pressure, academic/work problems. They all add up and I would say those are more to blame than the person.

A person who suicides sees it as the only way out of the situation they're in. I assure you, they've probably tried many other things to try to get out of it, even if they haven't exausted EVERYTHING, they more likely than not have tried many things simply because of how long it takes to get into that mentaility. Things need to build up over months, years, it doesn't happen over night.

Not everyone can be mentally steeled to deal with all the stresses life throws at them, its simply a way to cope. Its a permanent solution, but it works, does it not?

agreed. i don't condone suicide but i don't think it's fair to judge people who do it as being cowards. sometimes people do experience some extreme situations that might drive them to do things they never thought they were capable of. you won't ever know of another person's hardships unless you yourself experience them. so i think sometimes it's easy to say "there's an easier way out" or "there's always a second chance", etc but that's the thing. saying is easy... actually doing it yourself is another story..

Only fool suicide what a stupid and dumb way to do things. Never care about what the impact to other especially own family.

just one thing to anyone who want to suicide make sure you use the right and fast method that confirm can die. Dont use stupid way that might not be able to die because if that happen you make people around you sad for a longer time. if dead they will get over it maybe in a year or some months or else people hacve to remember it till you really go.

So dont be stupid life is the most beautiful things sometimes maybe not so good but nothing more precious than life. Remember if you really want to suicide ask your parents permission they give the life to you. You dont come to the world by yourself.

Life is only the most precious thing if you have something to value. I've been on suicide watch before (i.e. people were watching me to make sure I didn't do anything). When you get to that point, following through with that looks really appealing because by then you are in pure desperation to end your misery.

Think of it this way. Cannibalism. Most people abhor it, most people think it is the devil's work. But if you're sitting on a deserted island, starving, with no food, and the person next to you dies, doesn't that suddenly look tasty? It sure as hell would to me. Everyone has their limits. Once you break them "common sense" no longer exists. It is simply the most immediate solution to your problem. For the island its cannibalism, for extreme desperation its suicide.

When someone considers suicide they usually are at the point where they believe no one cares for them or life is no longer worth living. Its not for you to decide because you are not in their shoes. Whether or not their family really does care for that person doesn't matter, its what the person PERCIEVES. If that person percieves that their family and friends no longer care, then for what else do they live? Naught. And so it ends.

One does not suicide by stupidity, he/she does it because of the people around him/her.

the reason people sucide b/c they can no longer think properly anymore, the cant see any positive outcome living in their life. therefore u can almost say that they have metal illness, so who ever triggers that in the first place is mostly the 1 to blame for

I must say that committing suicide is either very brave or very foolish thing to do. As a christian, it is a sin to commit suicide and I am sure after a visit to the hospital, you will think twice before killing yourself. There are definitely more reasons to live for than to die.

Show me where it is written in the Bilble and I will believe you. Whoever told you that christian faith believed that suicide is not a sin is lying to man and may God forgive him/her.
